Barbara Johnson Speaks at ALI CLE Current Developments in Employment Law

Barbara L. Johnson, BLJohnsonLaw Founder and Counsel to Potter & Murdock, recently participated in the Current Developments in Employment Law conference, held by American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education (ALI CLE) in San Diego, CA. Throughout the program, Barbara contributed to discussions covering timely and complex issues in workplace law.
She co-presented DEI in the Workplace: Key Developments and Trends with Camille Olson of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, sharing updates on developments affecting diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and policies, as well as the legal and strategic considerations shaping them.
Barbara also joined the Hear from 5 Federal Judges and an Arbitrator panel, where they examined courtroom advocacy from the perspective of the bench and bar, including preparation, common pitfalls, and the effective use of oral argument and visual aids.
In the Hot Topics in Employment Law panel, Barbara and fellow panelists discussed current challenges for employers, from workplace immigration and safety concerns to reductions-in-force, pending executive orders, and free speech issues.
